We got back on the bus to find Lauren and Nick holding each other very close indeed, and slow-dancing to 'My All' by Mariah Carey. They hadn't noticed us get back on, Nick had his back to us, and Lauren had her eyes closed, and her head rested against his shoulder. "Awwh, they look so cute, where's my camera?" I went and quietly picked up my camera out of my bag, then I took a photo of them, and the flash went off, and suddenly Lauren's eyes burst open. "Rainey, what are you doing back?" "Well, the others were deep in mouth exploration, and I was kind of shy, and cold, so we came back inside to see you two, but not before taking a photo!" "I want a copy of that!!" "Sure. Hey, have either of you seen Aaron?" "Oh my God, I can't even keep an eye on my own brother!" Nick was getting worried. "Calm down Nick, we'll find him" "But he was with us when we got on the bus" "He went outside with the others to dance" "But I didn't see him when we were out there - did you B?" "No, I didn't see him" We ran out of the bus. "Aaron's missing!!" I shouted to the others, who quickly stopped what they were doing. "what?!" said a confused Howie. "Aaron came out here with you lot to dance, but now he's not here - we've got to find him guys" "We've got to find him!" Nick was starting to panic. "Don't worry, we'll find him, Chaos" said Lauren, putting her arm around his shoulder. We went in search of Aaron in different directions, and in pairs, after arranging to meet half an hour later, whether we found him or not. ---------------------------------------- (While all this was happening, my dad's car had broken down about three miles down the road, but it had taken them that long to get out of the car park, all the fans had to get out of the same entrance, and dad had got lost like he usually does after concerts.) "I can't believe the car has broken down!" He shouted into the bonnet of the car, probably at the engine. "I can't believe we got to meet the Backstreet Boys!" sighed Jo. "And I can't believe that Lorraine is still hanging out with them! Did you notice how close Brian was to her?" "No - you don't think there's anything going on between them do you?" "Nah, well, maybe, he did choose her to go on stage, that must mean that he likes her, and she really likes him, so...." "And he did ask if she could hang out after..." Joanna could feel her heart break, and a tear began to trickle down her cheek. "Don't cry Jo, I'm sure she didn't do it to hurt you, these thing just happen, just be glad that one of your friends is happy, two people you care about have found each other." "Only one of my friends is happy? Aren't you now that you've met Nick?" "I am, but then I saw him with Lauren, that tore me up, but Lauren is a nice girl, I'm happy for them." They both then stared out of the window, when something white caught their eyes, and it was moving. "What is that!!" cried Jo. "I don't know! Mr Wightman - there's something in the bushes" "What? and May, call me Tom" "OK, Tom, there's something in the bushes" The 'thing' moved again, this time they could see it's head. "Aaron?!!!" said Jo "Um, hi Jo, May, Lorraine's dad," "Call me Tom. But what are you doing all the way out here on your own?" "Well, I saw a fox, and I wanted to stroke it, but it kept moving away, so I chased after it, and it kept going, didn't know how far I'd gone until I couldn't see the arena anymore, I got scared, then I saw a car at the side of the road, and I recognised you, um, Tom, and so I ran to you, and I fell, that might have been when Jo and May saw me." " Well, they must really be worried now, we've got to go back, but I can't leave you girls here, we'll have to walk back." "But what about the car?" "It's insured, you can replace cars, not people" "OK, let's go, Nick will be worried." "Nick?" "My big brother, the tall blonde one, he’s like a bigger version of me, he's in the Backstreet Boys" And they left the car after getting their bags out and started walking back to the SECC. ------------------------------------- "Aaron! Aaron! Where is he?" I shouted. "I'm sure he's fine, try not to worry too much" "B, he's 10 years old, probably never been to Glasgow before, or at least the SECC, there's major roads all around...oh my God, he could be lying unconscious, hurry, we've got to find him, he's like my little friend, I can't not find him" ___________________________ Holly and Howie must have been fast walkers, because they covered the most ground, although they came up with nothing in the ‘Finding Aaron’ department. "where is the little guy?!" thought Holly, and as if reading her mind, Howie said "I'm sure he's fine, he's fearless, I know he is, that kid would run on train tracks, when a train is coming up behind him, either that, or he's found a car on the road to bring him back here." "Or he found a car, and they realised who he is, and have taken him hostage, and are at this moment writing a huge ransom note" "Woah, you watch too much Scooby Doo, I'm sure he's fine, now, let's keep looking" -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- They all met back, half an hour later, all minus Aaron. Nick was in tears with worry, Lauren tried to comfort him. "Where can he be, the place is practically deserted, he'd surely hear us call him, wouldn't he? If he's conscious that is" "Nicholas Gene Carter, don't even start to think that he's any less than 100% OK, snap out of it, I'm sure he's fine, I've got a feeling that he's going to come up in the next few minutes and give you a hug" "You think so?" "I know so" "I'm going for another look" I said, turning to go. "Oh no, you're not leaving without me, we're not losing another person tonight!" said B, following me. We walked for a bit, to the other side of the car park, when I saw Jo and May and my dad. "Jo, May, dad! What are you doing here?!" "We found this little thing walking around while your dad was fixing your car when it broke down, he was chasing a fox." May informed us. Aaron came out from behind May and ran straight to me. "Lorraine!!!" he said as he gave me a hug when I knelt down to greet him. "Hey there little man! You had us so worried, Nick's crying back at the bus!" "He's not mad is he? He won't shout at me?" "Of course not AC, he's your brother, he loves you, he just wants you back safely" said B. "Oh, okay" "Where's the car dad?" "About 3 miles down the road, I need to get the RAC (some car repair company in Britain) on it." "Here Sir, use my phone" B said, handing my dad his mobile. "Oh, thank you Brian, very nice of you" "No problem Sir" "Sir, good grief, nobody calls me that! Please call me Tom" "Okay, no problem Tom" My dad phoned for the rescue service to pick up the car, and phoned Jo's and May's parents' that they were going to be a little later than planned. Then we all went back to the bus. "Nick!!!!!" Aaron shouted to his brother from half way across the car park, and as soon as Nick heard him, he got up and started running to him, and when he got to him, he picked him up and hugged him like he hadn't seen him in years. I just had to get a photo. And I did. We all went and sat in the bus, my dad talked to the bus driver when the driver got there, and then to Donna. Jo and May were really tired, so they went to the bunks (Jo went to Brian's, and May went to Nick's) and fell asleep. The rest of us sat and talked until the rescue service came about half an hour later, and my dad, Jo and May left once again, after Jo told me to phone her as soon as I got home. "Guys, I know that it's the last night of the tour, but it's after 1am, you should get some sleep, we're going back to the hotel, and you girls are going too, it's too late for you to go home now, and Aaron, you've had enough excitement for one day" Donna told us. "Awwh, do we have to, Donna?" pleaded Aaron. "Yes, you do, Mr nuisance, you had your brother very worried about you" "And Rainey too" interrupted B "Rainey?" asked Aaron. "Lorraine was really worried, 'cos your her 'little friend', and she was going crazy when we couldn't find you" "You were?" "Yes, why not? you're my friend, and I care very much about my friends" "Awwh, a girl cares about you Aaron!!" "Nick, don't tease your brother" scolded Donna. "Sorry" (under his breath) "Go Aaron" "Nick, I don't like him in that way, he's just a friend - and he's 10, 6 years younger than me" "Well, it could happen, B-Rok is 7 years older that you, and you two are going out" "Actually, we're not" "What?!" said everyone at once. B even louder that the rest. "Well, he hasn't actually officially asked me out yet" I said, "Oops, my bad" B said, as AJ stole my camera from me "Hey!" I shouted at him "Chill, I only want to see it, does it have a zoom?" "Yes, press the 'T' button to zoom in, and press the 'W' button to zoom out." Which he did. "Hey, this is a cool camera, which is the button you use to take a picture?" "Thanks, my parents gave it to me for Christmas, and it's the silver one on top" "Anyways," B started " I think I'd better do something that I wanted to do earlier. Lorraine, will you do me the honour of being my exclusive girlfriend?" "Woah, exclusive, that's serious, cuz" Kevin half-joked "Well, I am serious, so, what do you say?" "I'd love to be your exclusive girlfriend B" And with that he swept me up into the aisle of the bus, and as I was still embarrassed, he gave me a kiss on the cheek, and gave me a really nice, meaningful hug, I felt so safe when I was hugging him, and so happy, I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. We hugged for a few minutes, until AJ took a photo. "Sorry to spoil the moment, but I just had to try it out" "That's okay AJ, there's plenty of time for that kind of stuff later!" I said teasingly in B's direction. "Really?!" he asked, like a little kid I had just told could go to Disney World. "If you play your cards right!" "Ewww, B-Rok's gonna get girl cooties!!!" You know that was Aaron! "One day, little man, you're gonna like getting girl cooties!" I told him, whilst ruffling up his hair. "Hey, watch the hair!" he said, trying to flatten it down. "Looks like the Carter family are very proud of their hair!" laughed Lauren. We sat and talked all the way to the hotel, which was actually only 10 minutes away, but still. When we got there, we found 3 fans asleep outside the hotel, leaning against each other on the front steps. "Awwh, look at them, they're so cute! I said as I took a photo "What, are you making a scrapbook or something?" asked B. "Well, no, but now I think about it, it would be nice, in years to come I can look at it and laugh, or cry at the memories, or should I say we'll look at them?" "We sounds good to me!" "Should we wake them?" Nick said. "well, if you were a fan, waiting outside a hotel for your favourite band, would you want to find out the next morning that they had gone right past you?" I said "I guess not, let's meet them" B said as he nudged the first girl, who looked a little younger than myself. "Hey, you comfortable down there?" B asked her. "No, not really" she said, before looking up, but when she did, she was very surprised. "Oh my goodness... Sally, Theresa, wake up!" "Huh, what?" said Sally "What?" muttered Theresa "The guys are here!!" "Really?!" They quickly woke up, and we quickly noticed that Sally was a big Kevin fan, Theresa liked Howie, and Bridget liked AJ, which made me and Lauren relax a bit, we didn't have any competition, but Brianna, Holly and Shay weren't in the best of moods, so Lauren and I took them aside, and calmed them down, they were all younger than me, so they had nothing to worry about. "So, Brian, Nick, which one's are your girls?" asked Bridget "I'm with Lauren, she's the one in the green skirt and green and white top." Nick answered. "My girl is Lorraine, she's in black and white skirt and white top." "My God, she doesn't look much older than I do, and I'm 15!" said Theresa, which surprised B "Well, she's not, she's 16, but mature for her age, heck, she's more mature that I am!" "Is she your girlfriend?" B didn't know what to say - lie or tell the truth? He looked at the other guys, who were not much help. "What do I tell them? Do I lie to make them happy, or do I tell and make me happy?" He thought to himself. He looked round at me, as I was hugging Shay, and he knew. "Um....yes, she is" He was waiting for her reaction. "That's great, I'm happy for you, she seems really nice" He was glad she wasn't mad. "Are all those girls your girlfriends?" "Yes, they all answered. We came back to find them deep in conversation about something, I think it was about the concert, but they stopped when we got there. "Do you want us to call you a cab to take you home?" "No, it's okay, we've got enough money for a bus" "Bridget, the last bus left at 11:30pm" Sally informed her tired friend. "Well, we're not letting you walk all the way home at this hour all alone, we're calling you a cab" B said ( what a sweetheart!) "we can't let you do that..." Theresa started to say. "And I'm going to pay for it, to show you that we appreciate you coming to see us, in concert, and here too." "Brian, you don't have to.." "No, it's the least I can do, I mean, we did keep you here half the night!" "Oh, okay" We all went inside, and B called a taxi for the girls. It came in fifteen minutes, but before the girls went, I took a photo of the three girls and the guys and Aaron, as they had used up all their film, and got Theresa's address to send a copy of it to, promising to send it the day I got it back. "So, I'll ask again, what are we going to do?"
